Live projects and commissions

Abeona is a bold, large-scale commission spanning three floors of Poole Museum, Dorset - an ambitious interconnection of art, ecology, and cultural heritage. Inspired by the museum’s maritime collection and the rich biodiversity of the region, Abeona reimagines the tradition of scrimshaw, to create a contemporary visual narrative that brings the past into the future. This immersive installation will weave together species, histories, and iconic landmarks, inviting visitors to witness the interconnectedness of ecosystems and the strength found in diversity.

Set to be unveiled in summer 2025, Abeona will coincide with the grand reopening of Poole Museum following a major National Heritage Lottery Fund redevelopment. Alongside our commission, we have delivered a programme of drypoint printmaking engaging local young people and communities - encouraging a shared dialogue and creative response to inscribe personal narratives into surfaces, reinterpreting the craftsmanship of historical seafaring in a modern context. A celebration of place, nature, and artistic storytelling, Abeona is an evolving dialogue between past and present, land and sea, human and non-human worlds. Shelf Life is an ambitious print-based art commission unfolding across the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape from February to October 2025. As one of six national commissions under the Nature Calling programme led by The National Landscapes Association.

This evocative commission centres on the biodiversity of the Lincolnshire Wolds, its habitats, and species, exploring the fragile equilibrium between ecological restoration and the mounting demands of modern arable farming. Through a thoughtful and hopeful lens, our creative response will illuminate the loss of nature, the strain on land, and the commercial priorities shaping the natural world. At its heart, Shelf Life is a celebration of possibility, creating a bold visual dialogue of hope and opportunity through collaboration with young people and local farmers who live and work in this cherished landscape. A striking series of visual artwork prints will be created, illustrated, and printed, designed to be displayed on a bespoke, modular Shelf Life billboard sculpture. This touring sculpture will travel across the Lincolnshire Wolds, becoming a temporary - yet transformative - installation in each landscape it inhabits.

Bold, dramatic, and visually captivating, these ephemeral installations will nestle into the natural surroundings, evoking a powerful message before moving on to the next location. Each stop on the tour will feature a unique artwork print, creating a series of visually striking moments across the Wolds. Commissioners: National Landscapes Association, DEFRA

A bold exploration of the wild within the urban, Curbarium brings the vibrancy of Coalville’s wildflowers into sharp focus. Rooted in the resilience and beauty of urban botany, this commission takes an investigative dive into the plant life thriving along streets, roadsides, and forgotten spaces - revealing their ecological significance and untold stories.

Through dynamic printmaking workshops, teenagers will engage with the textures, forms, and narratives of local flora, translating their discoveries into striking visual works. Alongside these community-led creations, we will develop our own series of large-scale prints, transforming the streets into an open-air gallery that celebrates the intersection of nature and town life. A fold-out artist map will document the journey, capturing the intersection of art and ecology in the heart of the National Forest. Launching in summer 2025, Curbarium revives opportunities to creatively reconnect with local wildlife, offering a fresh perspective on Coalville’s natural heritage through a fusion of contemporary printmaking, street-level exhibition, and public engagement.
